The sampling equipment type PRV is used to obtain a product sample in a vertical fall without modifying its particle size distribution.
The product is sampled by the rotating spoon attached to the tip of the sampler, and is then conveyed inside a DN100 cylinder, into which is welded a steel spiral. A gear motor drives the rotation of the whole assembly. The sample is discharged at the end of the steel cylinder and falls on to an inclined steel plate, that contains a volumetric chamber. The sample is into the chamber and the excess is returned back into the process.
